Chungsen (CS)
Leung ,
Member of Parliament
We are honoured to have Chungsen (CS)
Leung as our Member of Parliament as he brings
his strong drive and enthusiasm for Conservative values and
practices along with a depth of experience equaled by few.
CS has considerable entrepreneurial experience which includes
both national and international corporations operating at the
senior management level.
Chungsen, (his friends call him ‘CS’) is
a multi-faceted entrepreneur. He has chosen a unique career path
and business experience in addressing many of the world’s
problems including: pre-engineered quick build housing, wind
turbine electric generation, solar hot water heating, water
purification and building environmentally healthy homes. CS
developed his business skills through his education and work in
public accounting and successfully exporting to the world
market, the Canadian designed urban mass transit systems.
His community
contributions include serving as director of: The Conservation
Foundation of Greater Toronto, The Richmond Hill Chamber of
Commerce, and The
Committee for the Economic Recovery for SARS, as well as, a
number of national and international business associations and
community service organizations.
CS’s
diverse background allows him to represent
the rich multi-cultural neighbourhoods that make up Willowdale.
His multi-lingual skills include the ability to communicate in:
Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese and Japanese. He came to Canada
in 1968 for his undergraduate degree in Economics and Commerce
at Carleton University in Ottawa. CS went on to complete a
Master of Science in Engineering at the University of Southern
California in the United States before returning to settle in
Willowdale in 1982.
CS
lived in Willowdale for 21 years with his wife, Deborah and
daughter, Elysia. He has experienced the dynamic growth of this
community through its economic vibrancy and cultural diversity.
