“Today, we extend our best wishes to Hindu communities across Canada in celebrating the festival of Navaratri. 'p.“This auspicious festival for the Hindu faith symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. For the next nine nights and ten days, celebrate this festival with families and loved ones, attend special pujas, exchange gifts, and dance culminating in the tenth night of festivities.
“Canada is home to over one million people of Indian descent who have made tremendous contributions to Canada’s success. Conservatives will continue to celebrate the Hindu Canadian community and all hard-working people of diverse backgrounds that have enriched our history and society.
“On behalf of Canada’s Conservatives, I want to extend my best wishes to everyone celebrating Navaratri!”
